Let Go & Grow: Spring Reset

Spring isn't just a time for cleaning out closets—it's an opportunity to clear out the clutter that's been weighing us down mentally, physically, and even digitally. We hold onto so much, often without realizing it, and it takes up valuable space—not just in our homes but in our minds, schedules, and even our devices.

Let this be your sign to release what no longer serves you. Here's how to declutter your life and create more clarity, peace, and space for what truly matters.

Declutter Your Mind: Making Space for Mental Clarity

Spring is nature's way of reminding us that renewal is possible. As the days grow longer and the air feels lighter, it's the perfect time to clear your mental space too.

Brain Dump Daily – Write down everything swirling in your head, whether it's to-dos, worries, or ideas. Getting it on paper helps free up mental space. This has been one of the single-most helpful things that I do on a weekly and daily basis, it helps clarify my goals and actions throughout the week.

Set Boundaries – Say no to energy-draining commitments and people who don't align with your values. It can be hard when you want to do all the things, but let go of the FOMO and embrace JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) on occasion when it feels like it’s just too much.

Limit Information Overload – Unfollow accounts that stress you out, set boundaries with the news, and be mindful of doom-scrolling. Set limits on your screen time if you feel like its taking away from the things that truly matter to you.

Practice Mindful Breathing – Even a few deep breaths or a short meditation can reset your mind. Try inhaling deeply for four counts, holding for four, then exhaling for eight. There are also lots of great resources that will walk you through a quick breathwork exercise - try these if you would like some guidance:

Let Go of Old Narratives – Are you holding onto outdated beliefs about yourself? Rewrite the script and replace negative thoughts with gentler truths. This is something I constantly need to do, trying to break patterns and rewire for more self-love and positivity.

Set a Seasonal Intention – Instead of overwhelming year-long goals, set a simple three-month intention like "Move with more ease" or "Prioritize joy." Then start to think of ways you can live that intention throughout the season.

Declutter Your Schedule: Making Room for What Matters

Your calendar reflects your priorities—does it align with what you truly want?

Audit Your Calendar – Are you overcommitting? Review your past month and notice which activities gave you energy and which drained you. Remove unnecessary obligations and create white space for rest. Get to know your limits, some people can take on more social activities and work commitments than others, try to tap into what gives you energy and be sure you are allowing plenty of time for that.

Time Block for Efficiency – Set specific times for focused work, movement, and self-care.

Eliminate "Shoulds" – Not everything needs to be done right now (or ever). Be intentional with your time.

Create More White Space – Buffer time between meetings or tasks helps prevent burnout.

Make a Seasonal Fun List – Spring isn't just for obligations! Schedule activities you actually want to do like taking a new class, picnics, hikes, or trying a new restaurant.

Say No with Grace – Instead of overexplaining, try: "I appreciate the invite, but I'm keeping my schedule light this season." I’m grateful that we are in a time where it seems that the collective is starting to understand the beauty of slower, intentional living and no longer glamorizing hustle culture.

Declutter Your Digital Life: A Fresh Start for Your Devices

A cluttered digital life can zap our energy without us realizing it.

Delete Old Emails & Unsubscribe – If your inbox is a graveyard of unread newsletters, it's time to let go. Use tools like Unroll.Me to batch-clean subscriptions.

Organize Photos & Files – Delete duplicates, back up important memories, and create folders for easy access. There are also some great apps available to help with this.

Clean Up Your Phone – Remove unused apps, outdated contacts, and unnecessary texts. Organize your home screens for a calmer digital experience.

Close Tabs—Literally & Metaphorically – If you have dozens of browser tabs open, ask yourself: What am I avoiding completing? Finish it, bookmark it, or let it go.

Set Digital Boundaries – Create a tech-free hour before bed or designate "screen-free" zones in your home.

Declutter Your Home: Create a Space That Supports You

Our homes absorb energy. If yours feels heavy or chaotic, it may be time for a space cleanse.

Start Small – Tackle one drawer, one shelf, or one room at a time. Try decluttering in 10-minute blocks to avoid overwhelm.

Try the 90/90 Rule – If you haven't used it in 90 days and don't see yourself using it in the next 90, consider donating or selling it.

Let Go with Gratitude – Release items with appreciation rather than guilt.

Simplify Your Living Space – Keep what feels good, functional, and aligned with the life you're creating.

Refresh the Energy – Open windows daily, burn palo santo, or diffuse citrus essential oils to clear stagnant air.

Let Go of Unfinished Projects – That DIY project you keep saying you'll finish but never do? Either commit to completing it this month or release it with grace.

Final Thoughts: Letting Go = Making Room for More

Spring is a season of trust. Letting go can feel uncomfortable because it creates space—and sometimes, we don't know what will fill that space yet. But nature doesn't rush to replace fallen leaves—it trusts the process of renewal.

Decluttering isn't just about removing "stuff." It's about making space—physically, mentally, and emotionally—for clarity, creativity, and peace. As you let go, you create more room for joy, alignment, and the next version of yourself.

Remember that these small shifts will help you move into the new season feeling lighter, clearer, and more intentional. What's one thing you're ready to release this season?
